July 15, 2016 – Singing Out, Toronto’s LGBTQ+ community chorus, is grateful to acknowledge generous support from the Ontario Arts Council (OAC) for the 2016-17 performance season.

Since 1963, Ontario Arts Council has fostered the creation and production of art for the benefit of all Ontarians. This $10,000 operating program grant will strengthen Singing Out’s capacity to engage, welcome and support an even more diverse and inclusive membership (including queer youth, newcomers and transgender individuals), and to promote pride – both in who we are and in musical excellence – to the communities where we live, perform and find mutual support. Within the choir, we shall foster a positive image of our common goals of belonging, unity, and empowerment: a reflection of our lives.

Thank you to Ontario Arts Council for your continued support, and for sharing our vision for Pride, Music and Belonging.
